Mount Kobe Century

On 22 September 2025, Kobe lost a brief but spirited fight with hemangiosarcoma. Less than 3 weeks passed between his diagnosis and his passing. Supporting canine cancer research efforts has always been important to us over the years, but it doesn’t get more personal than this.

Enter Kardboard Kobe, or KK for short – Kobe’s equally good-looking, slightly stiffer counterpart. Join KK for the Mount Kobe Century Hike-a-thon and help us raise funds for the Australian Animal Cancer Foundation. Over the next 100 days, KK will follow in Kobe’s footsteps by hiking all 100 trails covered in Hiking Mount Kobe and Mount Kobe Magic.

You can support the Mount Kobe Century by sponsoring a walk or two, or three, or even all 100! Each sponsorship pledge is only $5 and all funds raised (minus payment processing fees) will be donated to the Australian Animal Cancer Foundation, to support their scientific research into cancer in companion animals. To find out more about their work, visit their website here.

The Mount Kobe Century sponsorship page has all the walks you can choose from, broken down by village. There will even be a few walks that you can join in person, should you so wish! Details will be posted on this page, so check back regularly for updates.
